The Unexpected can happen

I use to be so prepared in my life and was such a planner. I believe 2020 has shown me to never prepare and just live life day by day and live it to the fullest as much as you can. For instance, I would always plan ahead of time my goals and when I would reach those goals of mine as well but unexpected events happened that changed my course. Things happened to me this year that changed everything for me... and that's when the unexpected happened in my life. I always was a dare devil whenever it came to what food I would eat growing up. My food plan consisted of spicy foods, limes and lemons, fatty foods, and a lot of fried foods. I always had complications with my health whenever it came to outrageous period cramps, heart burn that always landed me on medication, and really bad stomach aches. I guess I never learned my lesson after 15 years of eating horribly or I didn't care to learn my lesson. August 14th, 2020 at 5:00 am was the day that I had to learn the hard way about my food plan that I partook in for almost my whole life. I call my mother around 5:30 am in excruciating pain in my lower abdomen and she then instructs me to head to the ER (Which mind you I'm afraid of hospitals and needles...). I arrive at the ER and make sure to tell the Doctors and Nurses that its probably nothing and just to give me some medication and I'll be on my way. They decided to take blood and make sure my assumption was correct. Clearly, it wasn't. I had 18,000 white blood cells which was awfully high since the normal number is around 10,000... gee who knew my body was fighting off an infection. Well, I had to get admitted and let me tell you! The taking blood and having to get an IV was literally ridiculous. One of the nurses was trying to insert an IV and instead popped my vein and man what a horrific sight of tons of blood all over my sheets... (almost fainted lol). I finally get my CT SCAN and once I saw three surgeons walk towards me, I knew this wasn't going to be good... and clearly the news wasn't what I was hoping for.
I had to get Emergency Appendix Surgery or my Appendix was going to burst in minutes which was going to cause the infection i was trying to fight so hard to get rid of to travel to my bloodstream and it would have killed me. I'm finally out of the hospital and finally home and let me tell you the first 4 to 5 days were the worst I ever had to endure.
What I'm trying to say is never plan ahead of time because plans change and they will no matter how much you plan and organize yourself, just like they did for me. I had so much plans to take the LSAT, travel to Vegas for my Graduation, and get a new job at a law firm. The thing is all those things plus more have been put to a stop for me until I fully recover in 6 weeks which is the first week of October.
Live your life day to day, live it like it truly is your last because you never know when it truly will be your last......
